LUMETTE

How can we help?

Quick answers about scans, monitoring, community features, and your membership.

Where does scan information come from?

Lumette combines product-label data and public sources, including Open Food Facts-family catalogs, government regulatory lists, Wikidata, and directly cited ownership sources. Each factual finding names or links its source. Always check the physical package for the current ingredient list.

Is Lumette medical or safety advice?

No. Lumette reports attributed source records and does not assign an editorial safety or health score. A list match, water benchmark comparison, or member review is context—not a diagnosis, compliance decision, or recommendation. Check current packaging and consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

What photos does Lumette collect?

Barcode scanning does not save or upload camera frames. Photos are collected only when you choose them for a missing-product submission or change report. Submission photos are reviewed before an approved product photo can be shown to paid members. Account deletion removes your account-owned photos, including published copies.

What happens when a product is missing?

Lumette checks its warehouse and available upstream catalogs before offering product submission. If a source is temporarily unavailable, the app says so and asks you to retry instead of treating the outage as proof that the product does not exist.

How do product and brand watches work?

Watching a product also monitors its brand. You can follow a brand by itself, or follow the brand alongside specific products. Removing a product watch keeps the brand watch when you followed that brand directly.

Which alerts can Lumette send?

Members can opt into supported alerts for watched ownership changes, watched formula changes, acquisition digests, and tracked-water updates. Notification permission is requested only after you choose to enable alerts.

Who can post reviews?

Community access is limited to paid members. Reviews are limited to one per member per product and pass server-side rate, objectionable-content, and spam checks. Members can report a review and block its author, which hides that member's reviews from their account. Repeated independent reports move a review out of the member feed for admin moderation.

How do I manage or restore a subscription?

Use Manage Subscription in Lumette’s Profile or Settings screen. Purchases and cancellations are handled by the App Store or Google Play. The paywall also includes Restore Purchase for an active subscription on a new device.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings, choose Delete Account, and follow the confirmation steps. This removes your Lumette account, reviews, pending contributions, and product photos you submitted, including published copies. De-identified factual product data from an approved submission may remain in the catalog. Account deletion does not cancel store billing, so cancel an active subscription separately in your device’s subscription settings.
